About This Site...

This is a new and somewhat experimental site.

It is hoped that, eventually, it will become a major source of information for the helicopter instructor faternity and for those interested in helicopter aviation in general.

In time we are hoping to amalgamate & present information relating to helicopter instruction from many sources in an easy to access & logical format.

Provide information and articles - particulary with regards to saftey and airmanship.

Provide information on subjects such as JAR FCL2 - how it will affect the helicopter teaching industry, what are the changes? what it means? (this is when our experts have finally worked it out for themselves).

Provide links to other useful sources, helicopter flying schools, the latest helicopter incident/accident reports, describe both the achievements and horror stories as told by helicopter instructors themselves.

In order for all these ideas to work we are, as you can imagine, interested in your feedback, we want to know your views, your experiences, do you have worthwhile information, news and views that will help other current and future instructors to maintain high standards and improve the safety aspects of helicopter aviation. (Check out the news & views section of the site for the latest reports and stories).

This site also advertises "The Helicopter Instructors' Manual" (designed to assist with day to day helicopter instruction) (See the 'About the Manual' link from this sites Home Page). , and will soon be presenting sections on our latest manual "The Helicopter Students Manual".
